It is the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol unit which is not to be confused with the 1.0-litre MPI motor that was introduced some time back and is still on sale. Where the MPI is good for 75bhp and 95Nm
- 1.5 TSI will keep me happy for a long time to come. Far superior to my Vento TSI - My last ICE engine better be powerful. - This car felt so much better than Fronx and I20 in all aspects except the peace of mind. But then like GTO said - I'm ok with 2 days of VW headache for 363 days of fun behind the wheel.
I have the 130 1.5tsi evo engine with manual box Kangarooing is only in 1st gear on a stone cold engine so first pull away of the day its a bit jerky but other than that its acceptable Never owned the 1.4 tsi so obviously cant compare to that but its the new engine it has to be better surely plus its going in absolutely everything across the VAG range
The engine. The 128bhp 1.5 eTSI 130 petrol is fine if you're looking to keep the price down, but its performance, outside of town driving, is noticeably less spirited than the TSI 150 (0-62mph
The engine on the car is well proven globally. It is punchy, refined, and yes those numbers are identical to the Skoda Kushaq's. So the 1.5 TSI makes 148 bhp and produces 250 Nm of peak torque that runs all the way from 1500 to 3500 rpm. The Taigun gets a 1.0 TSI too with 113 bhp on tap.
avoid overheating at all costs - this is the worst nightmare for the 1.5 TSI. We don't see any reasons why you can't expect this 1.5 TSI engine in the new Jetta to last over 200,000 miles if you follow these simple maintenance steps and use it carefully. The engine is pretty good - much better than all other small turbo engines on the market.
The Volkswagen Virtus 1.0 TSI MT gets the same 999 cc three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is offered with the VW Taigun. Now, unlike its cousin, the Skoda Slavia, the Virtus gets the option of a manual gearbox only with the 1.0-litre TSI engine, whereas the more powerful 1.5-litre TSI motor gets an automatic DSG or direct shift gearbox as
Driveability is generally good, and the engine will spin up to 6000rpm for overtaking quite freely and without protesting too hard. Volkswagen T-Cross 1.5 TSI EVO 150 R-Line 2020 UK first drive.
